I accidentally stumbled upon an oh-so-difficult reading challenge on Bluesky earlier this month. If you prefer tracking everything in a spreadsheet, you can find the WHOLE thing at host and creator Qwordy’s YouTube channel.
As a lifelong avid reader, I am truly excited at both the depth and difficulty of the challenge. More important, though, I love how inclusive and kindhearted it feels, truly encouraging participants to support ALL varieties of writers.
The challenge started in July 2024, but I assume you’re never too late to just adapt it for your own calendar. The idea is to finish all the prompts completely in one year. Some can count for multiple BINGO spots, others must be accomplished individually.
As I move through my books in these challenges, I’ll leave some quick reviews. One EXTRA hard element of this for me is that I have a Sci-Fi/Fantasy book club group that meets monthly, so it’ll be interesting to see how I can fit those books into the mix.
